We have a Winner!
Congratulations to Brenda Phelps! A Facebook friend who correctly guessed that the photos posted in last week’s contest were taken along the Peak to Peak Byway.
These two photos were taken the extreme ends of the byway.
Photo #23: This photo was taken in Nevadaville, a Colorado ghost town just outside of Central City and at the southern end of the Peak to Peak Byway. When I wandered around this area, I was restricted to the town itself, as no access is allowed to the many different mines that dot the hillsides next to town.
Photo #24: This photo was taken about a half mile south of the Stanley Hotel just outside the Estes Park visitor center. Estes Park is on the northern end of the byway and is also the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, as well as the Trail Ridge Road Byway.
