  1. The railroad is the Cumbres and Toltec (it’s easy to see that on the tender), and the highway is Colorado Route 17 (I didn’t know if you wanted the highway, the railroad, or both so I gave both).

      1. Yep, it’s “highway 17” but it also goes by a particular Scenic and Historic Colorado Byway name (one of 25 byways). It passes through Alamosa, Fort Garland, the Sand Dunes and other places in the south central region of Colorado. Plus…I blogged about it late last year. 😉
